You will learn the ways in which the Unfair Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices Act (UDAAP) and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) relate to your bank or credit union's advertisements. We will also explore the various regulatory bodies who have authority to create and enforce advertising rules, including: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
This session will explore the Final Interagency Policy Statement Establishing Joint Standards for Assessing the Diversity Policies and Practices of Entities Regulated by the Agencies and how you can apply these standards to your institution.
